Description

Viscri Village, located in the heart of Transylvania, is an authentic emblem for the Romanian rural landscape and Saxon architecture. Moreover, it has become one of our favorite destinations for art retreats and every year we find ourselves going back there, in search of inspiration and inner calm.

All the workshops included in the program are designed to encourage a greater connection to nature, having botanical study as a starting point along the path.

Our host, Viscri 125, is a traditional Saxon farmhouse renovated with responsibility for the integrity of the original architecture and style. It consists of a main house, outbuildings and a wooden barn. Behind the barn, there is a vegetable garden, followed by an orchard that climbs a gentle slope and offers a wonderful view of the village and the Fortified Church of Viscri. The domain has a closed circuit and welcomes guests in an oasis of peace and greenery.

The workshops are conducted by Irina Neacșu, designer and ASBA artist. We will work in the barn, outdoors and / or at Prince Charles’ Guest House, depending on weather conditions and preferences. The activities are suitable for both beginners and advanced-level students. Irina will adapt her teaching methods to the level of each student.
