These drawing workshops are suitable for beginners and intermediate-level students who want to learn the basic techniques in graphite drawing, over the course of four weekends, on Saturdays. The course can also be a good exercise for artists working with other mediums, as we address notions of composition, construction, shadows, textures, volume, and perspective.
The lecturer of the course is Irina Neacșu, architect, designer and botanical artist, member of ASBA and founder of RSBA. The study topics may vary depending on students’ level of training and interests – objects, fruits and vegetables, plants.
March 12th: composition, measurements, sketching
March 19th: hatching, ways to render light and shadow effects, choosing the right tools for your desired outcome
March 26th: spatiality and three-dimensionality, perspective drawing and architecture
April 2nd: complex composition, drawing the final project
There will be a 1-hour lunch break each day, from 13:00 to 14:00, to be managed individually (not included in the price of the course). This course is designed as a unitary program, registrations cannot be made for one day only.
We accept payment in two installments, with the last installment paid before the second workshop in the program.

– withdrawal from the workshops two weeks (14 calendar days) before the event implies the return of 50% of the price of the course paid in full upon registration
– withdrawal from the workshops one week (7 calendar days) before the event implies the return of 30% of the price of the course paid in full upon registration
– for any withdrawal less than 7 calendar days before the event, the amount paid will not be refunded. In exceptional cases, the payment may be carried over to another course, with proof of the reasons for the cancellation.
