Paper art- paper, from theory to object
Graphic design summer school-paper art, Brasov. This week is dedicated to paper and its sustainable use, having the purpose of creating authentic, unique, special objects. The course is useful for everyone passioned about unique objects, the things learned here can be extrapolated in manufacturing decorative objects, notebooks and artists sketchbooks, as well as events stationery.
This course‘s lectors are: Andreea Mihaiu, Irina Neacșu and Amalia Bucur.
Schedule
Day 1: object. Recycled paper- recycled paper sheets and lamp with paper lampshade
Day 2: letter, printing, purpose. Linocut
Day 3: letter, writing, purpose. Calligraphy
Day 4: practical work from paper to binding
Sewing on notebooks with gluing (6 notebooks-48p-12 sheets)
Padding notebooks(48p-24 sheets)
Thread-and-knot
day 5: practical work from paper to binding
Japanese binding(24p- 6 sheets)
Freestyle binding based on the presentations and experiments, everyone is making a personal notebook
Craft materials are available in the studio. For research, the participants have laptops available.
Tuition fee: 360 euro

*Daily lunch break for one hour. Lunches can be organized by using the kitchen facilities at the studio, take away or nearby restaurants.
