The weekly oil painting course approaches different themes. In the proposed sequence, it facilitates to learn complex painting techniques. In contrast to one-day workshops for specific art-currents (impressionism, cubism, abstract painting), the course offers the time for a better thoroughness. Overlapping layers and creating the classical techniques are points to achieve during this course.
7th of September – introduction to oil techniques, materials, exercise 1: classic still-life (first part)
14th of September – classic still-life (second part)
21st of September – exercise 2: landscape, painting after a photography, knife technique
28th of September – exercise 3: miniature model, painting a model, antiquity techniques
5th of October – exercise 4: portrait, painting after a photography, conceptual painting and choose of work style
12th of October – finishing the paintings, varnishes and effects, final feedback
