The Design Summer School in Bucharest has a complex character, which explores the entire design process, from various drawing’s techiques to abstraction, research, concept, product design, product branding and project presentation. This exercise is useful for people who are preparing their portofolios for preliminary examination, competition, personal branding and also for those who ant to understand the entire design process. Working tehniques are out of choice and we encourage creativity and individual choice for material’s presentation. The students are invited to come and use a laptop for reseach and patly or entirely for work. For handmade presentations, the school provides the materials. The final jury and feedback will be made by a group of designers from different areas of interest.

Program:
Monday – introduction, theoretical presentation with case studies, course launch
Tuesday – botanical drawing in techniques ranging from realism to abstraction
Wednesday – research, design sketches
Thursday – product design
Friday – branding
Saturday – individual papers and project presentation, lunch at the end
* The lunch break is one hour, set at the beginning of the school.
* Accommodation and meals will be solved by the students.

Our workshops and courses focus on the study and research of natural subjects through various disciplines, such as botanical art and flower design, landscape design, cyanotype, linocut, ink and textile dye. In forms of short workshops, distance learning, summer schools, art retreats and long term courses, our tutors aim to investigate creative explorations and authentic approaches of urban and wild nature.
