Mary Dillon is a botanical artist, member and co-founder of the Irish Society of Botanical Artists, and her works are internationally renowned. Mary prefers detailed depictions on large canvases, with great accuracy of colour and shape, as a way to capture the essence of a plant in all its beauty and fragility. Mary also has a great teaching experience, finding fulfillment in any opportunity to share her skills and spark people’s interest in art.
This November, Mary Dillon is coming to Cembra School of Botanical Art and Design as guest lecturer to run a workshop, integrated in our Illustration Course (details here). The workshop, entitled Warm and Rich – Painting the Seasonal Palette of Autumn, is customized for students at any level of experience who want to explore themes and techniques in botanical illustration.
We provide the necessary materials for the projects.
