• Essential containers and tools
• Fix /plants /pigments defying the terms, what are them, and where do we get them from?
• What do we need in the studio?
The first step in dyeing: washing- the importance of eliminating the chemical substances from fibers: how do we get the textile ready for fixing and dyeing/temperatures/types of used substances.
The second step in dyeing: Fixation process: preparing the materials for dye. What are mordants, which ones are they and how do we use them? Which are the different receipts for fixing, based on the fiber.
Day 3. Dyeing: how to prepare the plants or pigments for dye/recipe for dyeing based on the fiber type. Mass production dyeing. Widening the chromatic possibilities: different ways of modifying the obtained colors by dyeing; PH changing practice; introducing color “modifiers”, recipes;

Our workshops and courses focus on the study and research of natural subjects through various disciplines, such as botanical art and flower design, landscape design, cyanotype, linocut, ink and textile dye. In forms of short workshops, distance learning, summer schools, art retreats and long term courses, our tutors aim to investigate creative explorations and authentic approaches of urban and wild nature.
