Retreat, summer school or certified course?
They say that you can’t ever have everything. Cembra team is willing to believe that it’ exactly the other way around. We can organize, experiment and test it all. That is exactly why our programs are not overlapping and they offer a whole range of choices to provide the chance to try it out, to play the field, and making a decision based on your own experience. So, we dedicate the first article from the blog to giving a good explanation of the structure which grounds our different programs. We are an art school, and we understand art in all of its complexity: a meditation exercise, a way of relaxing, a discovery, a change, a career, a business. And so we offer our trainees the chance to test their own relationship with art.
Retreat
This is a short program, 3 or 4 days, organized in beautiful, peaceful locations, usually at countryside. Its main purpose is calming, relaxing and finding an equilibrium by doing creative activities. At a retreat anyone is welcomed, there is no need for prior training or knowledge in certain field. The only thing we want,and need is the respect for the peace and dedication of the group colleagues. We want to ask everyone to assume the fact that these programs were designed for adults, based on the lecturing way, and the working hours structure. In a retreat we are mostly more than one lectors,some physically there, some online.
The activities are introductory, initiation workshops as a way of testing. Also the groups are always small( maximum 10 persons), so the training is customized and the lector’s involvement is always based on the participant’s profile. We leave being the weather, tiredness, the group’s rhythm to set up the program’s energy natural as it should be, quiet and peaceful. The price always includes the accommodation and the meals. A retreat is interesting for the ones wishing to realax, try new activities and improve their working technique by unique exercises.

Summer school
This is a 5 days program, which takes place at Cembra’s workshop in Brasov. Ocasionally, it can take place at our partner locations. It is an intensive program, which emphasizes information enrichment, experimenting techniques, understanding and assuming the capacity to elaborate a personal project. Here as well, anyone is welcomed without having any experience. The only condition is that you have the assume the implication and effort of the five working days. At summer schools the price does not include the accommodation and the meals and there will be just one lector.
A summer school can be interesting for the teenagers which prepare for the entrance exams by preparing a portfolio.It is also great for students which have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge, for professionals that want to approach some new sides of the target subjects. We also welcome amateur artists who plan on having a creative vacation and a sweet re-meeting with the community surrounding this school.

Masterclass
This one is an intensive exercise dedicated to professionals, and it is a great opportunity for them to improve their knowledge and the working technique. So this is the only program that is not meant for beginners. A masterclass can have talks, discussions , conferences and can be practical, with exercises that can imply difficult subjects, or complex approaches. The price does not include meals or accommodations. The work will take place in the presence of only one lector, holder or more lectors. The masterclass is interesting for the ones already working in the field but also want to meet again their guild colleagues, work together with them, test their knowledge and improve them.

The certified course
This one is obviously a long term program(9 months). Based on its subject, it can be regular and ends up with an exam, rewarded with a diploma. The certified courses start with an ABC of the targeted field. And so the course attendance doesn’t need a pre-experience. But what it needs is dedication, work and implication, without which any participant can be excluded from the group. Cembra wants to bring at the surface generations of professionals, with correct working ethics and sobriety for its guild as well as for the client. An art course will have aside the lector, and some invited lectors. They will address to related subjects as communication, marketing, accountancy, copyright etc. The certified course is interesting for the ones wishing to follow the path in creative fields and need a complex vision, big picture of the future job.
